UEFA have informed Ancelotti that he must resit his coaching badges
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has been told that he must resit his coaching exams after being informed his UEFA badges have expired.
According to reports in Italy the 62-year-old, who has enjoyed a trophy-laden career, has been sent a written letter by the European football governing body informing him that he must sit an exam to have his certificate renewed.
The Spanish Football Federation are alleged to have contacted UEFA to ensure that Ancelotti does complete the exam to avoid any future issues.
The former Chelsea and AC Milan boss has amassed over 1,200 games under his belt as a manager and has several accolades to his name - winning 21 trophies throughout his career.
Ancelotti rejoined Madrid at the start of the season after spending a year and a half at Everton. His return to the Bernabeu has culminated in Los Blancos' excellent form as they currently sit top of LaLiga by four points and are favourites to retain their title.
Madrid also recovered from a disappointing start to their UEFA Champions League campaign, which included a shock defeat at home to Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol and will face French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16.
The Italian already has one trophy in the cabinet - beating Athletic Club Bilbao to win the Supercopa de España last month and could also win the Copa del Rey, if they can beat the same opposition in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
