Step aside Bristol Rovers, Darlington are the real goalscoring kings
Just when they thought they were the talk of the nation, Bristol Rovers' goalscoring antics are now yesterday's news thanks to non-league side Darlington Town.
Rovers side made headlines after they beat Scunthorpe 7-0 to secure automatic promotion on the final day of the season after Northampton Town beat Barrow 3-1, meaning that the Gas finished third on goals scored.
But all that is now forgotten after Darlington's sensational victory after they won the Wearside First Division title thanks to a whopping 19 (yes, 19. Nineteen)-0 win against Annfield Pain.
Darlington actually only needed to win by 11 goals to win the title, but they decided to show no mercy and absolutely hammered the opposition.
Other results also needed to go in the club's favour too. Title rivals Chester-le-Street needed to drop points against Wolviston, but Town would still need to score the goals to pull off what seemed like an unlikely task.

Your eyes aren't deceiving you, they really did score 19 goals
But nothing is ever impossible and within 30 seconds Darlington were well on their way pulling off a miracle as they went 1-0 up. That was the sign for the floodgates to open.
If you're still struggling to believe that it actually happened, then here is a list of the goals and time scored as Darlington did their side of the job.
1-0 – Ryu Williamson (1 minute)
2-0 – Ben Wood (9 minutes)
3-0 – Dec Brown (13 minutes)
4-0 – Ryu Williamson (14 minutes)
5-0 – Dec Brown (19 minutes)
6-0 – James Beauchamp (20 minutes)
7-0 – Dec Brown (30 minutes)
8-0 – Stevie Johnson (32 minutes)
9-0 – Ben Wood (33 minutes)
10-0 – Ben Wood (36 minutes)
11-0 – Lewis Henry (41 minutes)
12-0 – Lee Hastie (45+ minutes)
13-0 – Stevie Johnson (54 minutes)
14-0 – Lewis Henry (56 minutes)
15-0 – Lewis Henry (60 minutes)
16-0 – John Jacob (65 minutes)
17-0 – Stevie Johnson (68 minutes)
18-0 – Stevie Johnson (74 minutes)
19-0 – Dec Brown (81 minutes)
19 goals? That's insane.
Thankfully their work didn't go to waste either as Chester-le-Street managed a 0-0 draw. I guess scoring goals isn't for everyone.
Of course their achievement wasn't going to be downplayed as the Darlington players then celebrated in true party style in the dressing room.
