But given the rivalry between Besiktas and Galatasaray - two of Turkey's biggest clubs - any opportunity to point score against each other is never passed up.
Fernandes recently joined Besiktas on a permanent deal for a fee rumoured to be just shy of £6m, according to Transfer Market, despite the belief that he would be returning to Galatasaray permanently, only to turn them down at the eleventh hour.
And keen to remind their rivals of what they're missing out on (if you can say that), Besiktas took pettiness to a whole new level.
If you take a look at the time they announced the signing you'll notice that it was at 19:05pm. To anyone, that's a normal time you would say, but there's more to it.

1905 was also the same year that Galatasaray were founded. Excellent shithousery from the Besiktas admins.
The Istanbul derby between the two is already fiery enough, this has just added extra fuel to that roaring flame.
As for Fernandes, it's hard to imagine he will receive the warmest of receptions from the Galatasaray fans.
