They are looking to make a massive bid for the German international
Bayern Munich have reportedly made Manchester City's Leroy Sanétheir number one transfer target.
According to reports in The Guardian, the German champions are set to make a bid of around £70 million for the winger.
German international Leroy Sané is believed t0 be interested in a return to his homeland, after being in and out of the City starting line-up over the last few months.
Sané moved to Manchester from Schalke in 2016.
Both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry are leaving Bayern Munich this season, meaning that they will probably be looking for new wide players.
Speaking after Saturday's FA Cup final victory over Watford, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said that he was trying to keep Sané at the club.
"We offered to extend his contract," said the City manager. "We want him to stay. What proof is more than for six, seven months we want to extend his contract? If we don’t want him, we don’t extend his contract."
"Some movements we have to do for next season, because people want to leave, players want to play. They accept not playing for a period but it’s normal that they want to play more. I can’t assure that to anyone so I understand completely."
