Barça can't even afford letters these days
Barcelona fans hoping to get Robert Lewandowski's name and number on the back of their shirt will be left disappointed as the club shop confirmed they cannot sell them due to running out of 'W's'.
Lewandowski completed his move to Barça on Tuesday night after months of speculation, becoming the club's fourth signing of the summer.
The forward is expected to take the number nine shirt - currently occupied by Memphis Depay - but any plans to get that sorted should put on hold for now.
One fan documented his attempt to purchase a new Lewandowski shirt, only to be told that it would be impossible as the megastore did not have the letter 'W' in store, and nobody wants a shirt that says 'Leandoski' instead.
"Why can't we buy jerseys with
Lewandowski?" he asked before the store assistant replied: "Because we don't have the letter W and because he has two in his name, we have run out."

The only other player that fans are unable to have on the back of their shirts is Martin Braithwaite and with no offence intended towards the former Middlesbrough forward, one can assume it's not demand for his name that has caused the shortage of 'W's'.

Lewandowski has arrived in Miami to link up with his new teammates and after making the decision to leave Bayern Munich following eight years at the club. Upon his arrival, the Poland international said he couldn't wait to get started.
