How does this even happen?
FIFA’s live stream of the Club World Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Al Hilal was bizarrely taken down due to a copyright infringement claim by TMG, as reported by Itlain outlet Calcio Finanza.
The report states that at the start of the stream, a message appeared on the screens of people watching FIFA’s own live stream which read, ‘This video is no longer available due to a copyright infringement claim by TMG’.
Considering the event is organised and managed directly by FIFA – which means that the governing body owns the rights to the broadcast – it is extremely confusing as to why copyright infringement could be an issue.
While the live match between Al Hilal and Chelsea is not currently available on Youtube, the other matches that have already been played are available to view on FIFA’s YouTube channel, and can be watched in full.

Chelsea took the lead against Al Hilal in the 32nd minute when Romelu Lukaku converted from close range, with Thomas Tuchel’s men well on their way to a final against Palmeiras on Saturday.
