Ozil has been linked with a move to Turkey in the past. His parents are Turkish, and he could have represented the national team, but chose to play for the country of his birth.
Fenerbahce are expected to allow Robin van Persie leave this summer, freeing up space on the wage bill for a marquee name.
Alexis Sanchez is another Arsenal player who could be on the move at the end of the season. The Chilean's contract also expires in 2018.
