FC Dreamboat: Liverpool set to add yet another hunk to their collection with £35m signing

Have Liverpool overtaken Arsenal as the country's best-looking team?

Have Liverpool overtaken Arsenal as the country’s best-looking team?

Sure the Gunners have Granit Xhaka, Hector Bellerin, Sead Kolasinac, and of course Olivier Giroud, but Jurgen Klopp seems intent on a hunks-only transfer policy. The Anfield roster already boasts such dishes as Mohamed Salah, Emre Can, Dejan Lovren, Loris Karius, Georginio Wijnaldum, and now Virgil van Dijk.

But Klopp hasn’t stopped there. The news from Italy is that yet another looker is set to join the Melwood mancrushes – and he could solve a huge problem area in Jurgen’s team in the process.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Liverpool have entered the race to sign AS Roma’s highly-rated goalkeeper Alisson. The Brazilian international is renowned for his shot-stopping, as well as his remarkable ability with the ball at this feet, which would fit Klopp’s ball-playing style down to the ground.

Alisson would cost in the region of €40m (£35m), but Liverpool face fierce competition from the likes of PSG and Barcelona. He signed for Roma back in 2016 for €7.5m, where he was originally back-up for former Arsenal man Wojciech Szczęsny before breaking into the starting line-up.
