After James McClean opened the scoring for West Brom in the first-half, Andy Carroll scored twice for West Ham - the second a winner in the 94th minute - to give David Moyes' side a 2-1 victory. Pardew's team are in 19th place after the defeat, four points from safety and only ahead of Swansea on goal difference.
Some issues at the Hawthorns pre-date the arrival of Pardew. The club haven't won a league game in 20 attempts, they've won just once away from home in their last 20 away games and have scored just eight goals in their last 13 games away from home. They could also lose Jonny Evans, the club's captain, in the transfer window. While the team's preparations for the West Ham match weren't helped by the short turnaround between fixtures. Pardew's side played out a 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday, while the Hammers had six days to prepare for Tuesday's fixture.
However, there's no denying that their new manager has not had a positive effect on results. Under Pardew, West Brom have scored four goals and have picked up just four points in eight matches.
Following the defeat to West Ham, Many Baggies' fans, and football fans, predicted that Pardew might not even see out the rest of the season, and could be sacked as the club face a relegation fight for the rest of the season.
