One of the worst crashes in Tour De France history

An overly-eager fan has caused what seems to be one of the worst crashes in the history of the Tour De France after leaning out into the road with a cardboard sign. From the footage posted to social media, the fan can be seen holding up a cardboard sign with ‘Allez Opi-Omi!’ written on it in black pen. The fan was looking straight at the TV camera on the passing bike, rather than concentrating on the actual race. https://twitter.com/Julio_Deluxe/status/1408792209680392198 The crash is being called one of the worst in Tour De France history, with what felt like a mountain of bodies and bikes piled up in the narrow road in the middle of the race. Here's a birds-eye view of the incident: https://twitter.com/cyclingreporter/status/1408790550195625984 Many of the cyclists did return to the race, but it is unclear at this time whether there have been any serious injuries.
