Everyone is raving about Anthony Martial after Manchester United’s incredible start

On fire

Paul Pogba is making a massive impact but Anthony Martial is playing like a dream.

In just 11 minutes, Manchester United had scored more goals against a top six side, away from home, than they had in eight previous fixtures.

Arsenal were thunderstruck in the first half of a pulsating Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

Antonio Valencia rammed home the opener after only four minutes when he traded passes with Paul Pogba and fired past Petr Cech. United were not done yet, though.

Shkodran Mustafi was then caught in possession by Jesse Lingard, who then passed to Pogba. The midfielder found Martial in the box and with two deft touches Lingard was in. The England international fired a shot in off the post and United were 2-0 up.

Jose Mourinho was screaming at his players to calm it down and take the sting out of the game but both sides were going attacking blow for blow.

Martial was a superb outlet for United up the left wing and was simply tormenting the Gunners. David De Gea did have to make one decent save from Hector Bellerin and Romelu Lukaku, while Nemanja Matic’s diving block denied Aaron Ramsey.

As the half-time whistle blew, most fans were in agreement that Martial was bossing it and was a player revived.
