Everton could face further nine point deduction

The fairytale is over

For a team with its many miserable weekends, this could really top them all, as Everton could be about to face another nine point deduction just 24 hours after receiving an initial ten point loss.

Everton will face the further reduction if a second independent commission rules that other clubs should be compensated for spending breaches.

It has been reported in the past few hours (November 18) that Burnley, Leeds, and Leicester are pressing ahead with plans to bring a compensation claim against Everton which, if they are successful, would mean another deduction against Everton, thus almost certainly sending them into relegation.

Not only could Everton face relegation, but it’s also being rumoured that if the nine-point deduction comes against the Toffees, they could be forced into administration.

Why? Because Everton’s prospective buyers 777Partners have committed to providing around £20million-a-month to help with the club’s running costs whilst the Premier League are assessing their takeover bid, however it’s believed they are not willing to pay a compensation bill.

The Mail reports that the deal agreed by Farhad Moshiri and 777 in September contains clauses stipulating that the sale price will be reduced significantly if Everton are instructed to pay compensation or relegated from the Premier League.deal agreed by Farhad Moshiri and 777 in September contains clauses stipulating that the sale price will be reduced significantly if Everton are instructed to pay compensation or relegated from the Premier League.

Things are certainly not looking good.
