Phil Jones is the most high-profile United player to be demoted.
The former England defender has only played 13 times for the Red Devils since the 2019/20 season due to injury and fitness issues.
Jones, 30, joined Man United from Blackburn Rovers in 2011 and has played 229 times for the Old Trafford club.
Brandon Williams, meanwhile, has played 50 times for United, but spent last season on loan with Norwich City and doesn't appear to be in Ten Hag's plans.
