Russia are due to participate in the Women’s European Championship in July
The English FA have confirmed that they will not play any matches against Russia in any international games “for the foreseeable future” following the invasion of Ukraine.
Russia are due to participate in the Women’s European Championship in July, which is being hosted by England.
It comes after Russian president Vladimir Putin ordered his military forces to invade Ukraine on Thursday on multiple fronts, with tanks moving across the border and ‘hundreds’ of Ukrainian troops reportedly dead.
According to the Ukrainian health ministry, the death toll so far in the Russian invasion of Ukraine is at least 198, with three children among those dead.

The FA released a statement condemning the actions of the Russian leadership, and announced that they would not be competing against Russia for the ‘foreseeable future’.
It read: “Out of solidarity with the Ukraine and to wholeheartedly condemn the atrocities being committed by the Russian
leadership, The FA can confirm that we won’t play against Russia in any international fixtures for the foreseeable future.
“This includes any potential match at any level of senior, age group or para football.”
