England’s new home and away kits are finally confirmed

A definite improvement

Simon Lloyd

After weeks of leaked images claiming to show the next England home and away shirts, we can finally set eyes on the real thing.

Yep, the kits Gareth Southgate’s players will wear as they play their way to a disappointing, sooner-than-anticipated exit from the World Cup later this year have been revealed.

The shirts are both a return to more traditional designs, with Nike ditching the unpopular different-coloured sleeves look they used last time around.

The home shirt is (obviously) white, with blue badge and Nike logo. As is usually the case, the away shirt is red with a St George’s cross print on its front.

The home shorts and socks have been returned to navy and white respectively while the away kit’s back to white and red.

The new designs were confirmed in a tweet from the England Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon. They will be worn for the first time during next month’s international break.
