This would win the World Cup… of kits

It’s official, England are winning the World Cup, at least when it comes to kit designs.

With the tournament creeping up slowly everybody is awaiting the kits that the Three Lions will wear as they attempt to win the World Cup for the first time since 1966.

While we all know what the home shirt will look like (that hasn’t been revealed as of yet, but it will definitely be white), there’s always some added excitement behind how the away shirt will look and if the most recent leak is to go by, it’s going to be very popular.

Just look at it, simply beautiful.

The overwhelming consensus is that it is very 1990s vibes. Although that kit was designed by Umbro, Nike have clearly shown their appreciation to what was also a stunning shirt.

Around the neck the collar has a v-neck feel about it and is extremely similar to the one worn by the likes of Gary Lineker and Paul Gascoigne.

As expected as well the badge takes up a large portion of the shirt on the right side while the infamous Nike branding is etched onto the left side. We can already see Harry Kane scoring the winner in the final with this shirt.

Those eagle-eyed readers will also notice that the kit is red – a colour commonly used with England away kits.

Fans seem impressed by what they have seen

Although it hasn’t been confirmed of this is the real deal, fans seem impressed by the initial rumours and images.

“This has all the hallmarks to being the one,” said one supporter.

A second said: “What’s point in having another kit, just wear this for every sodding game if it’s real.”

Another fan added: “If this isn’t the one i’m giving up.”

England will face the USA, Iran and Wales in their group stage fixtures, meaning that if the kit is real, it could well be worn in the group stages.
