Edinson Cavani shows middle finger to Man United fans following defeat

This doesn’t look good at all

Footage filmed by a supporter has shown Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani making an offensive gesture in the direction of the travelling support.

Cavani was heading towards the team bus after United were beaten 1-0 by Crystal Palace on the final day of the season to finish sixth in the Premier League.

The Uruguayan has had a torrid time this season (just like his employers), featuring just 14 times in all competitions and scoring two goals.

Fans of the club are not happy with what they are seeing and with one last chance to speak to the players before they head off to all areas of the world, they made their feelings clear.

In the video posted to Twitter, fans can be heard shouting at the experienced forward however the 35-year-old reacted in a way that wouldn’t be advised.

As he walked towards the bus, Cavani appeared to raise his middle finger and gestured it towards those shouting at him, only making them angrier.

With new manager Erik ten Hag preparing a massive squad overhaul, Cavani is expected to be one of those to leave Old Trafford in the summer as United prepare to get rid of the deadwood.

As many as 10 players are likely to join Cavani by heading for the exit door. The likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Paul Pogba, Nemjana Matic and Jesse Lingard are among those who are reportedly moving onto pastures new.

The future of Cavani himself hasn’t been decided but it is likely that the end of his tenure at the Red Devils will end on a sour note after he was previously one of the few fan favourites in his first season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
