Edinburgh plan to go medieval on their opponents with cool new kits…

All eyes are on the Rugby World Cup but European clubs are quietly preparing for their own seasons too.

Not even the biggest tournament in rugby can distract teams from the Pro 12 campaign, and Edinburgh look like they’re gearing up for war.

Glasgow may be known as the Warriors, but it’s the black and red army who have gone for a military theme this year.

Visiting teams know they’ll be in for a hard (k)night when they visit Murrayfield and see the home players sporting shirts reinforced with chain-mail. No, seriously…


Meanwhile fans will hope Edinburgh won’t go missing on away trips in this black and red camouflage kit:


It’ll be interesting to see how they get on with the majority of their players at the World Cup, but we’re sure they won’t go down without a fight.
