Eden Hazard’s reaction to Real Super Cup win was sad to see

Hazard has made just 59 appearances since moving to Real Madrid in 2019

Eden Hazard’s disappointing Real Madrid career was summed up by his facial expression as he ‘celebrated’ the club’s Spanish Super Cup win over Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side secured a routine 2-0 victory against Bilbao on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, winning their twelfth Super Cup in their illustrious history.

However, while the majority of players celebrated Los Blancos’ first piece of silverware this season, one player didn’t appear to be very happy with the triumph.

Belgium winger Hazard cut a dejected figure as Madrid collected their medals and lifted the trophy, with his mood an ominous sign amid reports that he wants to leave the club.

As players and staff celebrated with a lap of honour, the former Chelsea man failed to smile, or even look remotely happy with his second trophy since moving to Spain.

Pictures of the 31-year-old have since gone viral on social media, with many people suggesting that the ex-Premier League Player of the Season is in desperate need of a move away from the Santiago Bernabéu.

Hazard enjoyed a spectacular career in England, winning two Premier League titles and Europa Leagues while staring for Chelsea.

The Belgium star registered 110 goals and 96 assists in 352 appearances for the Blues – leading to him making his dream move to Real Madrid in 2019.

However, he has endured somewhat of a nightmare career in Madrid, making just 59 appearances in all competitions since his £89 million move, and scoring just five goals.

Despite Hazard making just 16 appearances so far this season, Madrid have made a brilliant start to their campaign – currently boasting a five point lead at the top of the La Liga table, having lost just two games all season.
