Tyron Woodley's favourite shot is well documented and it was the pull-back right hand that first put Darren Till on his backside in the main event of UFC 228. Liverpool's Till was the betting favourite in his first shot at UFC gold but the welterweight title remained around Woodley's waist after a stunning d'Arce choke. The first frame was a tentative affair but one that the defending champ took just due to his activity on the feet. "Tyron was the better man. Shit happens," Till said in his post-fight interview. "I'm just gutted but I've had losses before MMA and it just makes you stronger. There's no excuses.
