BT Sport has aired a 25-minute mini documentary on Mayweather vs. McGregor and another UFC star is the best thing about it.

‘Doubt Me Now’ premiered on Friday and gave us a tad more insight into the boxing fight of the year and, most likely, decade.

Conor McGregor will make his professional boxing debut on August 26 against 49-0 Floyd Mayweather Jr. – a 12-time world champion over five different weight classes.

The doc includes a couple of MMA interviews but, considering the subject matter, is heavy on boxing. Oscar De La Hoya, Gennady Golovkin and ‘Canelo’ Alvarez [“No. Comment.”] all feature, as does Ricky Hatton. None give McGregor a chance.

One man that believes ‘The Notorious’ should not be readily discounted is Dan Hardy. The Englishman is working as a UFC analyst but is considering a return for the Octagon, almost five years after his last fight.

Midway through the documentary and Hardy comes to the fore with an excellent breakdown on the differences between boxing and MMA, and how McGregor can do some damage to ‘Money’ Mayweather. At one stage, Hardy demonstrates how McGregor may be able to neutralise Mayweather’s shoulder rolls.

As a southpaw, the Dubliner may be able to use his left-hand power to square Mayweather up for the counter-hook right.

Hardy also shows the vast difference in size between 4-ounce UFC gloves and the 10-ounce ones McGregor will wear on August 26.

Not only will the bigger gloves spread out the impact of punches but they can be used to form a pretty effective shield to fend off blows.

Hardy arrives on the scene around 14:45 and, to our mind, steals the show.
