Hardy is coming back to the Octagon

Dan Hardy has confirmed to JOE that he will return to the UFC as a fighter in 2020, and that he is already laying the foundational work his return.

The 37-year-old, who is currently working as an analyst and colour commentator for the UFC, hasn’t fought in the promotion since a victory over Amir Sadollah in 2012.

Speaking to JOE in Abu Dhabi ahead of UFC 242, where Khabib Nurmagomedov will look to extend his unbeaten record to 28-0-0, Hardy gave us the lowdown on how his opponent Dustin Poirier can try and beat the Russian.

Hardy also stated his belief that Darren Till’s decision to move up from welterweight to middleweight would benefit the Liverpudlian fighter’s career in future.

On the topic of his own fight career, Hardy confirmed that he would look to return to the Octagon in 2020.
