EA Sports have announced the player ratings for the top 22 players on their soon to be released FIFA 22 game, with Cristiano Ronaldo the third best player on the game.

Lionel Messi once again tops the charts, rated 93 at the age of 34, and retains a stunning 85 rating for pace, and 95 for dribbling.

Separating Messi from Ronaldo is Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski, whose 92 rating just edges Ronaldo’s 91. Though, of the three forwards, Ronaldo boasts the highest pace stat despite being the oldest.

Kevin De Bruyne, Kylian Mbappé, Neymar and Jan Oblak are also all rated 91, with De Bruyne claiming the best passing stats on the game – an impressive 93, two points higher than Messi.

Harry Kane, Manuel Neuer, Ngolo Kanté and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen are all rated 90.

Liverpool’s attacking duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané are both tied on 89, with Karim Benzema and Heung-min Son also being granted the same overall rating.

Virgil Van Dijk is the highest rated defender on the game, also at 89, one point lower than last season. Though his ACL injury doesn’t appear to have affected his physical stats, with his pace and physicality both improving by two points.

The remaining players among the top 22, all rated 89 include: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Joshua Kimmich, Alisson Becker, Thibaut Courtois, Casemiro and Ederson.

FIFA 22 will be released on October 1st.
