Romero was not best pleased
Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero could not hide his frustration as teammate Emerson Royal produced a shocking miss in Spurs’ 6-3 win against Team K League in Seoul on Wednesday.
Antonio Conte’s men put on a show for supporters in the pre-season clash, with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min both finding the net twice.
The London club should have won by a great margin, though, as Emerson missed a gilt-edged opportunity to break the deadlock inside the opening 15 minutes.
Sliding in from just over six yards out – with the goal wide open – the Brazilian defender somehow managed to poke the ball wide – and Romero was far from impressed.
One camera angle showed the 24-year-old turning away in disgust, and his disappointment was noticed by supporters on social media.
How did social media react?
One Spurs fan said: “Romero is so done”, alongside a crying emoji.

That comes after the Brazilian put together highlight packages of his best moments from games towards the end of last season and began to post them on his social media.
Emerson made 41 appearances for Spurs last campaign, registering one goal and one assist. He has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid this summer, and Spurs are reportedly closing in on signing right-back Djed Spence from Middlesbrough.
