Conor McGregor’s former SBG team-mate is reportedly set for a huge Hollywood debut

The path from UFC to Hollywood is starting to become a well-trodden one.

Ronda Rousey has been the biggest name from the promotion to break into film, with roles in Furious 7 and Road House, while Conor McGregor has been linked with a part in the upcoming xXx sequel with Vin Diesel.

But McGregor’s former SBG team-mate Cathal Pendred could fly the flag for Ireland before his compatriot, with the Boston-born former fighter reportedly set to team up with The Rock for the upcoming Baywatch reboot.

Pendred had already revealed a desire to turn his hand to acting, and it seems he will realise that dream sooner rather than later.

The 28-year-old retired from MMA after losing to undefeated British prospect Tom Breese in Dublin last year, but doesn’t seem ready to leave the limelight altogether.

And Irish site goss.ie claim he will join The Rock and Zac Efron in the Hollywood blockbuster, which is set to hit cinemas next year.

The Rock himself has already unveiled the new CJ Parker for the film version of the classic television show – how long before we see him on set with Pendred.
