Conor McGregor’s bail set and he is allowed to return to Ireland

Mixed martial arts reporters don't often spend weigh-in days in courtrooms but then Conor McGregor happened.

McGregor's rampage through the Barclays Centre on Thursday resulted in him sitting before a judge the next afternoon to discover his immediate fate. 'The Notorious' flew at least a dozen of his friends to Brooklyn to confront Khabib Nurmagomedov, who had confronted McGregor's teammate Artem Lobov earlier this week. McGregor didn't come close to exacting vengeance on Nurmagomedov, however, as his ill-advised attack on the bus which was transporting UFC 223's red corner fighters back to the hotel only caused injuries to Michael Chiesa, Ray Borg and at least one UFC employee. https://twitter.com/SportsJOE_UK/status/982269124955942913 The Irishman was charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief after turning himself into New York Police Department custody several hours after the melee. With his hands cuffed behind his back, he was transported to a Brooklyn courthouse on Friday morning, where his bail was set at $50,000, according to MMA Fighting reporter Ariel Helwani. https://twitter.com/arielhelwani/status/982325667088957441 As part of the Dubliner's bail package, he will be allowed to fly home to Ireland as his passport has not been seized.
