Conor McGregor rumours continue after SBG team-mate's photo

We have to take every aspect of the Conor McGregor retirement story with a pinch of salt, but it's clearly more than just idle chit-chat.

Suggestions that the MMA star's announcement was a hoax have been played down by those in the know, while we know for certain that - as things stand - he is no longer on the fight card for UFC 200. And now a photo shared by Peter Queally, a team-mate of 'The Notorious' at SBG gym in Ireland, has added more fuel to the fire. McGregor is currently in Iceland, where he is believed to have had dinner with Queally (among others) on Tuesday night. After the show-stopping announcement from the 27-year-old, one aspect of his compatriot's post has captured more attention than anything else.

"If you're gonna go... go with a smile," reads a caption alongside a smiling McGregor. Draw your own conclusions.
