And now a photo shared by Peter Queally, a team-mate of 'The Notorious' at SBG gym in Ireland, has added more fuel to the fire.
McGregor is currently in Iceland, where he is believed to have had dinner with Queally (among others) on Tuesday night.
After the show-stopping announcement from the 27-year-old, one aspect of his compatriot's post has captured more attention than anything else.
