Conor McGregor will not serve jail time for his part in the events that transpired at the UFC Media day in April, which saw the UFC star throw objects at a bus containing other fighters.
The Dubliner’s legal team entered a plea deal with the New York with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.
As a result of the deal, all of the felony counts were dismissed and McGregor pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour charge. The agreement involves no jail time and will not affect McGregor’s travel visa. He will not have a criminal record.
He will serve five days of community service and was also ordered to attend anger management classes.
McGregor was also ordered to pay restitution for the damage made to the bus.
Speaking outside the court, McGregor thanked the District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn and his family and friends for their support over the last few months.
“I just want to say that I’m thankful to the D.A. and the judge for allowing me to move forward,’ McGregor said. “I want to say to my friends, my family, and my fans – thank you for the support.”

McGregor’s manager Audie Attar also spoke to the press outside the court.
“Now that this is past us, we can focus on things that have been our goals in recent times like positive training,” he said.
“He’s in shape, he’s ready to go. Now it’s just about getting back to business and we hope to have something (announcement) coming out very soon.”
