Conor McGregor admission has us questioning everything we once believed

Patrick McCarry

F**k that anyway.

The facade has been stripped away and all that we once held to be true is now on shifting sands.

Conor McGregor told us he would be a two-weight UFC champion back in 2013. That turned out to be true.

In April 2015, he claimed he would love to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. Going by the latest reports coming out of the United States, that wish is about to come true.

He said he would change the fight game and become the face of the UFC. True.

But the glasses… that was all bullshit.

Yes, McGregor has finally admitted what most of us suspected when the glasses appeared in the build-up to UFC 202 – they are not prescription. McGregor commented:

‘I don’t need glasses. I just like how they look on my face. Even tho they tilt on me cos of my banged up nose and ears I still feel like I look, good.’

We never would have guessed…

McGregor has been busy on social media over the last few days. After being relatively close with his posts and shares, McGregor has ramped it up on Instagram and Twitter in recent days. You’d almost think he was building up to a big announcement or something.

He also addressed the comments from Dana White about a potential $75m pay-day for boxing the unbeaten Mayweather. He stated:

‘Happy Thursday everyone. How’s that 75milli make your stomach feel? It’s actually 100+ milli if we go by the non conservative numbers the fight will actually do, and that’s not including my endorsements and business ventures.

’28 years of age. Fresh c**t. Doubt me now.’

After that glasses admission, it’s asking a lot.

Truman Capote would approve.
