Kurt Zouma's season is over.
The 21-year-old Chelsea defender landed very awkwardly on his right knee in the second half of Sunday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
Zouma could be heard screaming in agony, and was stretchered off the field.
The French defender underwent a scan on Monday and it was revealed that he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury - putting him out of action for up to six months.
Zouma will miss the rest of this season, the European Championships - which are being staged in his home country - and the start of next season.
The Frenchman will undergo surgery in the next 48 hours, but took to Twitter following the scan and vowed to come back stronger.
