Following his enormously successful co-commentary performances at Euro 2016, Lawro has been keeping up with his Premier League score predictions for the BBC, where he takes on a celebrity in a bid to guess the outcome of the weekend’s top flight matches.
This week, Lawro took on yoghurt-championing, X-Factor judging former Pussy Cat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger.
By her own admission, 38-year-old Scherzinger doesn’t know too much about the game.
“I think it’s awesome and it’s all about spirit and the fight, but I don’t really know much about soccer… or football,” she explained.
But despite her lack of knowledge, Scherzinger only went and outscored Lawro, didn’t she? Here, have a look:
Helped by correctly calling the scoreline between Arsenal and Tottenham in the North London derby on Sunday, Scherzinger ended up claiming an 80-70 victory over the 59-year-old.
Chin up, Lawro. At least you’d probably wipe the floor with her in a geography quiz.
