Claudio Bravo reportedly kicked out of teammates’ WhatsApp group

His wife's Instagram post has not gone down well

According to reports in Chile, Claudio Bravo has been ostracised by a group of his international teammates.

Having been reduced to a place on the bench for Manchester City, Bravo’s year went from bad to worse when Chile failed to reach next year’s World Cup.

A 3-0 defeat to Brazil last week saw Chile finish sixth in the CONMEBOL group and, in the wake of that result, Bravo hinted at potentially retiring from national team duties.

Bravo’s wife, Carla Pardo, did not take the defeat well as she immediately hopped on social media to accuse some Chilean players of underperforming due to hangovers.

“Thank you, Captain America, for all that you have experienced. It was really beautiful,” Pardo wrote, as translated by the Sun.

“But when they put on the shirt it has to be with professionalism.

“I know that most of them busted their a***s, while others left parties and even did not train because of their hangovers.

“If the cap fits, put it on and stop crying. Because now it is a whole country that is crying.”

Well that little outburst has not gone down well in the Chile camp, as one might expect, and Bravo has since been removed from a WhatsApp group he shared with compatriots Arturo Vidal, Gary Medel, Gonzalo Jara and Jean Beausejour.

According to a report in La Tercers, the group, which was called “banda pitillo”, has been totally deleted and replaced by one called “La Roja sin sapos” – which translates to “the Reds without toads”.

Bravo has reportedly not been invited to join the new group which comes as just the latest serving of negativity in an awful time for the stopper.
