One punter made an absolute fortune off a superb bet on day three of the Cheltenham festival after bring together a five-horse bet that was priced at almost 170/1.
The bet involved a £5,000 stake for five horses (four winners and each way bets and one to place) and it reaped a grand total of £849,238.71 for coming good.
- Vautour (Win and each way) – 1.80
- Thistlecrack (Win and each way) – 2.25
- Limini (Win and each way) – 1.83
- Ballyandy (To be placed) – 2.75
- Diego Du Charmil (Win and each way) – 7.50
And, with Walsh riding Vautour and Limini, at least two of the races weren’t left up to chance really.
