Celtic have announced the signing of Colin Kazim-Richards from Feyenoord.

The forward, who has 37 caps for Turkey, joins the Scottish champions on a two and a half year deal and follows Erik Sviatchenko and Manchester City youngster Patrick Roberts as new arrivals in the January window.

Kazim-Richards has had a nomadic career, making his professional debut for Bury, playing in the Premier League for Sheffield United and also turning out for Istanbul rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.

The 29-year-old spent the last 18 months at Feyenoord, scoring 16 goals in 50 games.

Celtic lost the League Cup semi-final 3-1 to Ross County at Hampden Park at the weekend and will undoubtedly hope their new player can make an instant impact.

However, fans on Twitter weren’t that excitement by the signing.
