Celtic flop Kazim-Richards earns move to Brazilian giants

His 13th club since 2004.

For whatever reason, things didn’t quite work out for Colin Kazim-Richards at Celtic.

The London-born forward managed just two goal in his short stint north of the border, and just one of those came in the league.

He left Parkhead for the unlikely confines of Paraná in Brazil, joining Coritiba last year.

And his form in South America has been enough to earn him a move to Corinthians, one of the giants of world football.

Kazim, as he is known in Brazil, has signed a two-year deal and will join up with teammates including former Manchester City frontman Jô.

Corinthians is the 30-year-old’s 13th club in seven countries – England, Turkey, France, Greece, The Netherlands, Scotland and now Brazil.

The new Brazilian Série A season is due to get underway in May, while Corinthians will also be involved in this season’s Copa Sudamericana.
