Cambridge United unveil early contender for kit of the season

Football shirt release season is now upon us and Cambridge United and hummel have provided us with what may well be the best kit we're going to see all season. Earlier this season Cambridge announced that they had signed a record-breaking kit deal with the Danish sportswear brand, and the recently released kit for next season has all the hallmarks of their most fondly remembered kits made for the Danish national team and Tottenham Hotspur. The new kit features hummel’s world leading ZeroH20 technique, which means the kit was dyed sustainably without the use of water during the process. It also features the League Two club's signature amber and black colour scheme, and crucially, is an absolute belter.   As you can see, the shirt has black sleeves with hummel's signature chevron pattern on each arm and it also features the sportswear brand's full logo, rather than simply the company name. Mick George - United's shirt sponsor from last season - remains on the shirt, with the simple font and monochrome colour scheme adding to the shirt's overall retro feel. Cambridge's deal with hummel is set to last for four more years, so it looks like the U's have some cracking kits to look forward to for future seasons.
