Barcelona midfielder Arthur's house was broken into on Wednesday night while he was at the Nou Camp for Barça's Champions League semi-final first leg against Liverpool.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo are reporting that two men broke in through a window armed with a machete and a screwdriver.
During the robbery, Arthur's brother arrived at the house, before the burglars threatened to kill him, holding the screwdriver to his neck.
The robbers reportedly got away with a Rolex watch and some valuable jewels. Arthur's brother was not harmed and called the player as soon as the two men left the property.
The incident was reported to state police on Thursday morning.
Arthur did not play in Wednesday night's semi-final, with Arturo Vidal stepping in to his usual left sided midfield slot. Barça emerged 3-0 victors after a moment of genius from Lionel Messi, putting them in good stead to reach the final.
