Brentford striker Ivan Toney replies ‘nowhere exciting’ when asked where he plays

Surely not again, Ivan…

Brentford striker Ivan Toney replied ‘nowhere exciting’ when he was asked where he plays his football, just two months after using an expletive in reference to the Bees.

The 26-year-old was in his car when he was approached by TikTok star ‘callmetoksy’ – who speaks to celebrities, usually in their cars, and asks them several questions about their life.

Toney was asked “what he did”, to which he replied, “I’m a professional footballer”.

The man then asked the Bees frontman “where he played” – which led to him replying “Nowhere exciting”, before laughing.

Prior to the pair’s interaction about Toney’s occupation, they spoke about cryptocurrency. The TikTok has since been deleted.

In January, Toney apologised after a social media video appeared to show the striker using an expletive in reference to his own team.

Toney – who was on holiday with teammate Bryan Mbeumo in Dubai when the video was recorded – can be seen saying “f*** Brentford”, repeating the phrase used by the woman who was filming.

“I am aware of a video of me that was published on social media,” he said.

“In it I used language that was unacceptable. The video was cut short and edited but I have to accept the impact this has had and realise I should not have put myself in that position.”

In his statement on Twitter, he added: “I respect the way you all support the team and I have to say how much I love playing for the club and for you.

The former Peterborough United frontman was vital in Brentford achieving promotion to the Premier League last season, scoring 33 goals in a spectacular campaign.
