“When I watched Conor fight Mayweather… Conor can’t box. He can’t box.”

Conor McGregor has no chance of knocking out YouTube star Jake Paul in the boxing ring, according to WBC lightweight champion Ryan Garcia.

Numerous reports have linked McGregor and Paul with an upcoming clash in the ring. After dispatching with Nate Robinson this past weekend, Paul officially called McGregor out as the individual he wants to face next.

Many believe it would be a far more competitive bout than McGregor’s boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather.

However, when speaking to JOE, Ryan Garcia went as far as to bet $100,000 that McGregor would not knock Paul out in the ring.

Ahead of his January 2nd clash with Luke Campbell, Garcia said McGregor’s fight with Floyd Mayweather didn’t convince him the Irishman could beat the YouTube sensation.

“I understand that it was against Floyd Mayweather, but your punches didn’t even look good,” Garcia said.

“When you were throwing them, they didn’t have no torque on them, they didn’t have no snap on them – they didn’t have anything on them.”

Garcia questioned whether any improvements McGregor makes would be enough to boost his boxing game.

“He steps into the ring with anybody good, he’s not gonna win – he’s just not.

“With him and Jake Paul, if he brings the same fight he brought to Floyd against Jake Paul – that’s more competitive.”

The California native then went as far as to bet $100,000 dollars of his own money on McGregor not being able to knock the YouTube star out.

“I promise you. I’ll put a hundred thousand dollars on him not knocking out Jake Paul – I’ll put a hundred thousand on it.

“You can mark it down right now.”

22-year-old Garcia, who wants to be known as the ‘last greatest fighter of all time’, said McGregor would be better off sticking to MMA.

“People can say whatever they want. When I watched Conor McGregor fight [Floyd] Mayweather… Conor can’t box. He can’t box.

“If he was smart, he’d ask Jake Paul to go in the Octagon with him. If you’re the bigger star, you should do that because Conor’s not that good of a boxer in my opinion. And I’m just keeping it real, 100 percent.”
