He’s certainly putting himself out there
Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma has appeared to issue a ‘come-and-get-me-plea’ to Arsenal after teasing a move to the Gunners.
The 25-year-old, who is reportedly a target for Mikel Arteta’s side, enjoyed a successful campaign with the Seagulls, helping Graham Potter’s men to finish ninth in the Premier League.
With just one year left on his current contract at the Amex Stadium, the former Lille man is thought to be a target for a number of top-flight clubs – including Arsenal.
Leicester City man Youri Tielemans has also been linked with a move to the Emirates, and Bissouma has fuelled speculation that both players could be making the move to North London.
Impressive in Mali’s convincing win
Bissouma grabbed two assists as Mali defeated Congo 4-0 in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
After the match, one fan posted a video of Bissouma in action for his country, writing: “For me, I think he and Tielemans should be our priority at midfield, we must get [Bissouma] at all cost [Arsenal].”
Bissouma went on to share the upload to his own Instagram story, later re-posting another comment from the same supporter.
It read: “I’ve been following up on Bissouma and I think he’s the one to replace Partey long-term, he’s just 25.”
Unsurprisingly, his social media activity left Arsenal fans dreaming of a potential transfer.
How did social media react?
One supporter tweeted: “I absolutely agree, bissouma is parteys (sic) long term replacement but without the injury issues. Grab him now while he’s cheap”.
