Foster was convicted in December after pleading not guilty

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding at 99mph on a motorway.

As reported by The Sun, the 38-year-old was clocked 29mph above the speed limit in a black Tesla on the M40 at Beaconsfield, Bucks, on April 3, 2021.

He was given six points, which took him over the 12-point threshold as he had totted up at least six points before, a court official said. The shot-stopper was also handed a £2,250 fine.

The former Manchester United man, of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, was convicted in December after pleading not guilty. He did not appear before Wycombe JPs for sentence yesterday (Thursday March 24).

Foster had to pay a £190 surcharge and costs of £620.

The goalkeeper, who has made 19 appearances for the Hornets this season, won eight England caps and has made 485 senior appearances during his career.

The goalkeeper has become well-known for his YouTube vlogs

Away from the field, Foster has become well-known for his vlogs, which appear on his ‘The Cycling GK’ YouTube channel.

However, it was reported last year that Watford were unhappy with the amount of time and attention Foster was dedicating to his YouTube channel on club time.

Foster regularly posts to his channel, giving fans and subscribers a window into life as a footballer and his passion for cycling.

When playing in the Championship last season, his YouTube videos included footage filmed from inside his goal using a GoPro camera, which occasionally backfired.
