Beef seemingly squashed between Dana White and Tyron Woodley

Woodley threatened to leak some information

The nasty beef between Dana White and Tyron Woodley appears to be over.

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley was very upset with the promotion’s president over his comments at the UFC 214 post-fight press conference.

White claimed that fans would not want to pay to see Woodley fight again following his technically magnificent, but cripplingly dull defence against Demian Maia in the co-main event. He also used the opportunity to announce that Michael Bisping would be tasked with welcoming Georges St-Pierre back to the Octagon, a decision he made in the fifth round of Woodley vs Maia.

It turned ugly pretty quickly when  Woodley threatened to leak ‘shit that people don’t want to be out in the wind,’ if he didn’t receive a public apology. Then welterweight rival Colby Covington got involved, telling White not to worry because he had some dirt on ‘The Chosen One’ that would ‘ruin his life’ if it got out.

The whole situation seemed destined for disaster, but fortunately, it has been resolved before it had the chance to get any worse.

White explained to TMZ that he has since made contact with Woodley to work it out, and there is no longer an issue between the two.

“Woodley and I talked and he said he was just pissed and upset and didn’t mean it.”

Woodley also confirmed to TMZ that the beef had ended with the two-word response, ‘we good.’

No sign of a public apology there.
