Barclays named as Women’s Super League primary sponsor in landmark deal

The sponsorship  is the biggest in women's sport by a brand in British history

The Football Association announced on Wednesday that Barclays is to become the first ever title sponsor of the Women's Super League in a "landmark" multi-million pound partnership. The deal, which runs until 2022, is reported to be £10 million across the three seasons and for the first time will see prize money awarded to clubs based on league position.
