Barcelona’s leaked third shirt met with divided fan reaction

The Catalan giants have already released their home and away shirt

Barcelona have already released two stunning kits in preparation for next season, and supporters of the Catalan giants are patiently waiting to see what the official third shirt will look like.

The LaLiga club have taken a slightly different approach with their home jersey, opting for a blue design on the shoulders, accompanied by the infamous red and blue stripes.

If their home shirt is nice, then the club’s away shirt is stunning. Barcelona went for a design inspired by the 1992 Olympic Games – and it certainly hasn’t disappointed. The gold design is simply wonderful.

So, fans are now waiting to see what their third kit will look like, and in turn, decide whether or not to complete the set and purchase the shirt.

As is to be expected, a number of leaked images of the rumoured design have appeared on social media, and one design has somewhat divided opinion.

Barca Universal released two photos of the leaked third kit on social media on Monday, which led to a mixed reception.

One user wrote: “We should not under any circumstances ever have a white base color kit I hate it I hate it I hate it f**k off”.

Another added: “weak asf!!! we need to get of Adidas or puma asap!!!!”

A third wrote: “Barça players in white jersey”, alongside a heartbroken emoji.

Another said: “Dont like it. We look like England. Wont win much in it, hopefully used very sparingly”.

However, many other fans expressed how pleased they were with the kit, with some suggesting that it is the best set of shirts that the club have ever had.

One Twitter user said: “Nike didn’t disappoint this year… Imma buy all!!!”

A second wrote: “I’m getring (sic) all three of the season….love e’m all”.

Another said: “Don’t know why Nike decided to make all three kits so beautiful. They better not downgrade next season”.

A fourth commented: “I actually love this one”.

Barcelona begin their LaLiga campaign against Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou on August 14.
