Umtiti last played for Barça in November. In his absence, his compatriot Clement Lenglet has stepped up to play alongside Gerard Piqué in central defence. Barcelona remain top of LaLiga, with a seven point lead over Atlético Madrid. Arch rivals Real Madrid have experienced something of a resurgence of late, but were knocked back on Sunday afternoon as they lost 2-1 at home to Girona - their seventh loss of the season.
