Australian rugby star to get English flag tattoo after wager goes wrong

How Australia could have done with Adam Ashley Cooper on Saturday.

The Wallabies coughed up their first ever home series to England after losing consecutive Tests.

Ashley Cooper is one season into his European sojourn, with Bordeaux-Begles, but will hope to return in plenty of time for the 2019 World Cup.

‘AAC’ is one of those rare people, in the modern sporting world, who says exactly what he thinks on social media. He had a run-in with Brian O’Driscoll on Twitter earlier this year after a perceived jibe about his handsome wages.

The versatile back was on holidays in Greece, now that his Top 14 season is over, and looked to have found a top spot for the match:

England got their noses in front and went in 10-7 up at the break.

The visitors kept up the scoreboard pressure in the second half and defended like men possessed. Australia threw everything at them but were sapped in the closing stages and watched helplessly as England pulled away.

They were left deflated and Ashley Cooper was left seeking the nearest tattoo artist:

We’ll keep you posted on the tattoo.
