Australian rugby star shares horrific mid-surgery photo of the inside of his hand

Unsurprisingly, he's out of the rest of the Rugby Championship.

If you’ve just sat down to eat a nice meal, we won’t give out to you for being a wimp and briskly leaving this article.

No? Okay, you’re either brave, foolish or what’s more likely, a mixture of the two for continuing this endeavour.

Before we hit you with the reveal, we’ll prepare you for it with a bit of background information for this genuinely disgusting piece of over-sharing.

Australian flanker and general good guy David Pocock is expected to miss a month after breaking his hand with two games to go in the Rugby Championship.

This will mark a huge blow for the Aussies as their 60-cap back-rower won’t be available for the run-in – including the Wallabies’ tournament finale against Argentina in Twickenham on October 8 – as they fight it out for second place behind newly-crowned champions New Zealand.

Pocock was taken off injured during his side’s 36-20 win over Argentina in Perth last weekend, and he’s already received surgery on said hand.

As if in some sort of effort to get all of his followers on social media to see their lunches again, Pocock shared an image of the surgery on Twitter. We’re not kidding, he literally showed us what the inside of his hand looks like.

This is your final warning.

eww gross

Gruesome doesn’t do it justice.
