Aston Villa fans sum up their season in 3 words

It's not a nice time to be an Aston Villa fan.

Remi Garde's team are all but certain to drop out of the Premier League for the first time, as defeat at Stoke has left them eight points adrift of safety with just 11 games remaining. There have been fallouts with players, most notably Micah Richards and Joleon Lescott, while on-pitch performances reached a nadir with the 6-0 home defeat to Liverpool. After the Stoke defeat we decided to directly ask Villa fans how they felt about a campaign they'll surely wish to forget. https://twitter.com/JOE_co_uk/status/703907367730151424

Some answered very bluntly

There were allusions to that Lescott incident

Owner Randy Lerner bore the brunt of much of the criticism

But this might have been the most damning assessment of all
