Arsenal may be set to benefit from Bayern Munich’s misfortune as Douglas Costa faces a late fitness test before Tuesday’s Champions League clash at the Emirates.
The Brazilian winger, who joined Bayern from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer, was left on the bench for Saturday’s trip to Werder Bremen, and Pep Guardiola confirmed on Monday that he requires a medical check-up.
With Mario Gotze and Arjen Robben already missing, Costa’s absence would be a significant blow to Bayern.
