The pressure on the Frenchman to bring the curtain on his Arsenal career after 20 years is intensifying, and he is out of contract at the end of the season. Wenger reportedly has the option to sign a new two-year deal, but has yet to commit to the club. At this stage, it feels as though the majority of Arsenal fans would be happy to see Wenger depart, but there are some who remain loyal to the manager. According to John Cross of the Daily Mirror, the club are fearful that Sanchez, who has yet to sign a new contract, will leave the club this summer.
Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be "locked in a two-way battle" for the player. Arsenal fear Sanchez has already made up his mind about leaving the Emirates this summer.
The report also claims that "sources close" to Wenger believe the manager will leave also leave the club this summer.
It really does feel like the end of an era at the London club.
